A perfect combination to get in the wide variety of activities, wildlife and variety of geology to be found in this beautiful country. This itinerary and regions give you the options for all of the activities you have dreamed about when thinking about a Costa Rica Adventure. In the Arenal Volcano area you have hiking, river rafting, canyoneering, the Hanging Bridges and activities at Arenal itself. Along the Pacific Coast enjoy Horseback riding, zip lining, deep sea fishing, ATV's, surfing - as well as Spa and wellness options.

I have listed below the accommodations I recommend in each area, and we have additional options as well. This list are the hotels where I stay and have developed a relationship with the management and staff. Our clients are treated like VIP's at these Signature Resorts.

Day by Day:

Day 1: Arrive at the San Jose International Airport and transfer to the Arenal Region. Overnight at Tabacon Thermal Resort or Nayara Springs Spa.
Day 2: Private Hanging Gardens Tour. Overnight.
Day 3: Full day class III-IV, or half day class I-II River Rafting adventure. Overnight.
Day 4: Private transfer to the Papagayo region. Overnight at El Mangroove Hotel, Westin Playa Conchal or The Andaz Costa Rica Resort.
Day 5: Full day offshore tour on the Pacific. Overnight.
Day 6: Full day of activities. Horseback riding, Zip Lining, Sport's Fishing, Spa and wellness, whatever you choose. Overnight.
Day 7: Day at leisure. Overnight.
Day 8: Check out of the hotel and private transfer to San Jose International Airport for your return flight home.
